19th Century Club

The historic 19th Century Club in Oak Park is one of Chicagoland’s true architectural treasures. Built in 1928, it now hosts hundreds of private events per year, including dozens of weddings. The club’s elegant Houck Ballroom can accommodate 280 guests for dinner and dancing. A smaller dining room accommodates up to 120 guests. There’s also a graciously appointed lounge with its own Steinway grand piano.

The Houck Ballroom has a stage that can accommodate a band, or even a full orchestra. The club also has its own large screen and full AV capabilities for conferences or wedding videos.

And the 19th Century Club has its own executive chef to oversee the preparation of your meal, and a first-class staff to serve it. The pictures below were taken at a recent event at the 19th Century Club (minus the chef-prepared meal).

To complete the perfect day, choose professional Chicago wedding DJ entertainment by Fourth Estate Audio. Here’s a Yelp review of just one of the many weddings we’ve done at the 19th Century Club:

“Fourth Estate Audio is top notch all the way. Jay was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. Every single email I sent was met with a prompt and courteous reply. They have a very user-friendly online system for putting together your song list, reception fact sheet, etc. Fourth Estate Audio has successfully done this so many times they’ve literally thought of everything.”

“The DJ for our wedding was Scott Andree, and he was simply amazing. We could not have asked for a better DJ and emcee. He played all of our must play songs, didn’t mess up a single name during the introductions, made the announcements we requested, and kept the party hopping all night long. (He actually told us before the dancing started that if the dance floor looks a little empty he plays a slow song to fill it back up. I thought “That’s not gonna work.” Well it did work. Every. Single. Time. Note to self: don’t try to out-DJ the DJ. He knows what he’s doing.)

“Scott also played a lot of guest requests. My personal pet peeve is when my request never gets played at a wedding so I was glad our guests didn’t have that experience. He even downloaded “Turn Back Time” during the reception just because my mom requested it (she’s a huge Cher fan). AND he gave my mom a special shout out when the song played. He’s just, like, the best DJ ever.

“Our guests did have one complaint the next day…that their feet were sore from dancing all night! Seriously though, I strongly suggest you hire Fourth Estate Audio. You and your guests will not regret it. Working with them was the easiest and least stressful part of wedding planning. If I could give them a million stars I would. 5 hardly seems like enough.
