A wedding reception is your gift to your family and friends. After all, they have come bearing gifts for you. What better way to return the favor than to give them a party they will still remember when you start having grandchildren! Your caterer will provide the food. Your banquet hall and florist will provide the proper ambiance. And a great Chicago wedding DJ will complete the evening by helping you choreograph the party to your liking.

What do you get when you hire a Chicago wedding DJ from Fourth Estate Audio?

At the wedding ceremony, we can, at your option, provide the proper processional and recessional music, plus any special requests during the service itself. If you have a singer who needs musical accompaniment, we can provide it.

During cocktails, we play appropriate background music-- usually piano instrumentals or light jazz. If you have a preference, we will gladly accommodate it.

During dinner, our music is usually either classical or light jazz instrumental. Again, if you prefer something else, we will be happy to customize our music accordingly. Your Fourth Estate DJ will visit each table, meet your guests and find out what music they'd like to hear. Guaranteed to loosen them up, and make them feel like dancing.

After dinner, we introduce the bride and groom onto the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. If you want a separate song for the rest of the wedding party, we play it before opening the dance floor to your guests. In most cases, we play the bride/father and groom/mother dances a little later, so your guests can join the dancing as fast as possible. Of course, we take requests for the rest of the evening, unless you specifically ask us not to.

Here are some questions you need to consider before the wedding:

"Do we want our DJ to introduce the wedding party? Or would we prefer a family member to do it?"

If you would like us to do the introductions, simply fill out our wedding party roster (see below), type in the names, print it, and submit it or fax it back to us.

"When do we want the wedding party introduced?"

At a sit-down dinner, the wedding party gathers outside the room, and we introduce everyone before dinner as they parade to the main table. For a buffet, a preferred method is to introduce the wedding party onto the dance floor after dinner, then clear the floor for your first dance.

"Do we want music for the wedding party introductions?"

We have many options. You may have some unique suggestions of your own.

"What songs would we like for our first dance, wedding party dance, and bride/father dance?"

"Do we want to throw the bouquet and the garter?"

Your DJ needs to know, to provide the proper atmosphere.
